This month my challenge book was
Sphere by Michael Crichton. It was a very suspenseful and amazing futuristic book. Norman wanted to study a spaceship that had crashed under the ocean and then live peacefully with his observations. However, after a crew member entered a mysterious, unidentified sphere on the spaceship, their ship started getting attacked, and they couldn't come up for days. So, Norman and his friends figured out the secrets of the sphere and were able to trick it. I rate this book 10/10 because the plot was well developed and I couldn't put it down. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys action and adventure, as well as mystery. This book has a little bit of strong language and is very graphic. This is a story written about adults by adults to adults. The novel,
Sphere, by Michael Crichton displays the theme, when one is scared, they should often follow their gut instinct. This is shown when Norman has a scary feeling about this place under the sea. His gut tells them he should go back up, yet he stays and five people die, he nearly one of them multiple times.
Pitches:
- Question Pitch:
- Who would you trust when you find an unknown powerful object?
- Rhyming Pitch:
- When you're stuck, friendship is your luck.
- Twitter Pitch:
- After getting stranded at the bottom of the ocean, a psychologist attempts to stay alive. He does his best to relieve tension among other individuals, and find the secrets and answers of an alien sphere.
