Opposite of Always

Jack, a teenage boy, wanted to live forever with his perfect girl, Kate, a happy and perfect person. However, the story doesn’t end happily ever after, because Kate dies which breaks Jack’s heart until he gets sucked back into the moment he first meets Kate. So, Jack works hard to keep Kate alive, while along the way friends getting jealous, and Jack figures out that to continue his life, he has to save more than Kate.

I would give this a 10/10 because this book is addictive and so heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. I would read this 5 times in one day if it could take that long.

People that would like this book is: people that like romance, bad decisions, and lonely journeys.

Since this book is about teenagers, there is quite a bit of cursing, and some other adult content.
Pitches:
  • One word:
    • Love
  • Question:
    • Would you redo your life a million times to stop the one you love the most from dying?

  • Rhyme:
    • Powerful is love when they go above.

  1. One question I had when reading through this blog was how many times was Jack able to go back in time and redo everything. One thing I thought was interesting was Jack had to juggle more than just Kate. I learned that Jack apparently really likes kate because he wants to live with Kate forever. I don’t think I would want to read this book because I don’t particularly like all the drama and romance I more like to read action pack books.

  2. A question I had was, why is Kate "perfect?" If this is literal how would one become perfect? I made a connection to "saving more than Kate" because I lost my uncle and fought to keep him alive when I realized I was losing myself in the process. I can relate to your view on how this book deals with death, I am currently in the middle of my book and it kind of crushes you when a character dies. This is probably not a book I would read as I am not very interested in love stories though that may not be the main plot line.
